The Appeal Process
The appeal process varies depending on the Court and the type of appeal being pursued. In general, an appeal involves filing a Notice of Appeal within a strict timeframe, preparing written submissions setting out the grounds of appeal, and appearing before the appellate Court for a hearing.

Sentence Reviews
A sentence review is separate from a formal appeal and involves applying to the Court to reconsider the sentence imposed. This may be appropriate where new information has come to light, where circumstances have changed significantly, or where the original sentence contained an error that can be corrected without a full appeal.
