Barrister Gul Qaisrani is an experienced legal practitioner admitted to practise across multiple jurisdictions, including New Zealand and Australia. He has built a diverse and respected career spanning both prosecution and defence, with a strong commitment to legal excellence and community service.
With over 20 years’ experience with New Zealand Police and as a public prosecutor, he has represented Police and government agencies across New Zealand and contributed internationally through overseas work.
He has served as principal advisor to the Pakistan Association of New Zealand, advised Auckland Council’s Ethics Board, received the 2019 Community Service Award for his work following the Christchurch shooting incidents, was a finalist for the 2024 Asian Lawyer of the Year Award, and is a member of the New Zealand chapter of the International Police Association.
