Our Approach

Protecting Your Licence, Your Record & Your Future.

A traffic conviction, particularly for drink driving, can affect far more than just your ability to drive. It can impact your employment, insurance premiums, professional licences, and your ability to travel overseas. At Gul Law, we take every traffic matter seriously and explore every available option to minimise the consequences for you.

One of the most important tools available in traffic cases is a discharge without conviction under s106 of the Sentencing Act. If successful, this means no conviction appears on your record effectively the same outcome as an acquittal. We have significant experience with these applications and advises on whether your circumstances are likely to meet the threshold for success.

Limited Licence Applications

If a disqualification is unavoidable, a limited licence may allow you to continue driving for essential purposes such as getting to work, attending medical appointments, or caring for dependants. Gul Law can prepare and present your application to give it the best possible chance of success.

Alcohol Interlock & Community-Based Options

In many drink driving cases, the Court has options beyond a straightforward disqualification. These include alcohol interlock licences and community-based alternatives under s94 of the Land Transport Act. We can advise you on which options are available in your specific circumstances and we can advocate for the least disruptive outcome possible.
